2019 NAIDOC Week for Stage 2 & 3 with the Eden Koori Community and Elders

Week 10  Term 2, 2019 – Tuesday 2,  Wednesday 3,  Thursday 4 July

At :  Jigamy/Monaroo Bobberrer Gudu Aboriginal Cultural Centre

NAIDOC Theme for 2019-  Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future

The program is yet to be finalised but will include elements from the following themes:

  • Storytelling – Language, Songlines, the Bundian Way, Heritage displays
  • Food:  Johnny cakes, gathering tools, seafood resources, bush tucker walk
  • Arts: Dancing, artworks
  • Games: Traditional games, spears and boomerangs

The cost per student (No GST) is $10 and an invoice will be issued to schools by the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council.

This year will be the 10th NAIDOC Week Activities for Schools at Jigamy,  proudly supported by National Parks and Wildlife Service and the NSW Department of Education.
