Environmental Science – Rockpool Ramble – Stage 2

Thursday 20th June, Term 2 – Week 8

Rockpool Ramble is a day for all your budding marine biologists who are interested in the dynamic variety of life that live on and in our rocky shores. The focus for the day will be an exploration of the rock pools at Bournda Island – learning about the adaptations of the variety of species that live there. The students will collect living plants and animals from the rocky share and identify and categorise these specimens using photo ID sheets. Students will use iPads to photograph and record their findings. Students will learn about the ecology of their local marine environment and meet some fascinating creatures along the way!
