Bournda Junior Marine Biologist – Stage 2

Thursday 8th August – Week 3, Term 3, 2024

Merimbula has a number of magical marine and coastal environments to explore. This program is based at the Merimbula Aquarium and students will have a guided tour of the amazing organisms on display. Later in the day students will visit the Merimbula wharf rockpools, and undertake a biodiversity documenting and photographing local intertidal species using iNaturalist app. Students will film using iPads the variety of life they find in the underwater world while they learn about the ecology of their marine environment and meet some fascinating creatures along the way! Send a team of 4 students to join in the challenge with other SCLC schools!

Program cost – $5 per student.
