NAIDOC Week with the Eden Koori Community and Elders

2024 NAIDOC Week for Stage 2, 3 and 4 with the Eden Koori Community and Elders

Week 10 Term 2, 2024 – Tuesday 2,  Wednesday 3,  Thursday 4 July

At :  Jigamy/Monaroo Bobberrer Gudu Aboriginal Cultural Centre

 

NAIDOC Theme for 2024- Keep the fire burning! Blak, Loud and Proud.

The program is yet to be finalised but will include elements from the following themes:

  • Storytelling – Language, Heritage displays at the Keeping Place
  • Food:  Johnny cakes, gathering tools, seafood resources, bush tucker walk
  • Arts: Dancing, artworks
  • Games: Spears and boomerangs

The cost per student (No GST) at this stage is $18 per student, supported by additional school contributions.

This year will be the 14th NAIDOC Week Activities for Schools at Jigamy,  proudly supported by National Parks and Wildlife Service and the NSW Department of Education.
