Wharf to Wharf Underwater Drone Explorer @ Tathra – Stage 3 in National Science Week

Tuesday  17th August

Take on the Underwater Drone Explorer challenge and discover the beauty of Kianinny Bay. Students will master the skill of the underwater drone, filming using ipads the variety of life they find in the underwater world. This program is designed to allow students the opportunity to observe the fascinating creatures of the rocky bay, examining the features and adaptations that allow them to survive in their unique environment.

A walk to Tathra Headland will allow students to examine the fire history of areas burnt during the Tathra Bushfire, to see what happens to vegetation after a fire event. A geocaching activity will be held at Tathra Headland, highlighting the natural and historical features of this important site.

Cost per student: Nil

This program can have a maximum of 16 students. Due to Covid-19 only one school will attend and COVID-safe practices will apply.
