Panboola Bike Safari

Tuesday 9th August, Week 4, Term 3

Students will explore different environments, such as floodplain forest, saltmarsh, fresh-water billabong and shrubland by bike to discover the animals and plants that live in them. They will use geographical tools such as maps, GPS and compass to navigate their way around Panboola. Students will examine surveys that have been conducted over the last 20 years as well as collect their own data onsite. Students will use this data to gain an understanding about how people can manage and change their environments in a sustainable way. Students will determine how they can have a positive impact in their own environments, at home or back at school. Students will need to be competent bike riders and bring their own bike.

Please note this program will start and finish at Panboola Wetlands in Pambula and students will need to bring their own bike and helmet and be competent riders.

Program cost – $3 per student.
