Merimbula Marine Environments

Thursday 11th August, Week 4, Term 3

Merimbula has a number of magical marine and coastal environments to explore. This program is based at the Merimbula Wharf rockpools, where the students will undertake a biodiversity survey in which they document and photograph local intertidal species using iNaturalist. Students will film using ipads the variety of life they find in the underwater world. This program also includes a guided tour of the Merimbula Aquarium. Students will learn about the ecology of their marine environment and meet some fascinating creatures along the way!

This program is supported by the Wharf to Wharf Community Project funded by the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund through joint Commonwealth/State Disaster Recovery Funding arrangements and the Lions Clubs of Pambula-Merimbula and Tathra.

There is no cost for this program.
