Junior Marine Biologist – Stage 3
Friday 24th June
In this science program the students explore the biodiversity of Bournda Island and help address the important environmental issue of microplastics by participating in an AUSMAP beach survey. This program is designed to allow students the opportunity to observe the fascinating creatures of the rock platform, examining the features and adaptations that allow them to survive in an intertidal environment. Students also collect, analyse and share data for
AUSMAP, a nation-wide citizen science program designed to document and analyse microplastic pollution in Australian aquatic environments.
Program cost – $3 per student.
Up to TWELVE students from your school. Covid safety plan in place.
