Connecting to Nature – Bournda Loop Walk
Tuesday 6th September, Week 8, Term 3
Grab your hiking boots and head out with Bournda staff to explore the 6km Bournda Loop walking track that follows Bournda Lagoon to Sandy Creek and through the bush to Bournda Island. Students will use nature journals to help them connect with the living world along the way by drawing, sketching, making seasonal observations, asking questions, note taking and writing creatively. Students will use a map and compass to navigate and record locations in their journal. Students will keep their journals so they can continue to record their nature observations at home or at school.
Program cost – $3 per student.
