Students explore Bournda National Park and focus on nature, why it is important, how it makes us feel and why we need to protect it. Students spend some quiet time in the bush and use their senses to help describe what they see, hear, feel and smell. They recall their favourite place in nature and create a piece of descriptive writing that they share with the group.
During a bushwalk students find interesting natural objects that they collect or photograph. These items are then used as the focus of an environmental art activity that is completed to take back to school.
